Atari and Antstream Arcade invite fans to participate in a massive, week-long online Asteroids tournament
Atari — one of the world’s most iconic consumer brands and entertainment producers — is excited to announce a world-first online streaming tournament for Asteroids®, the all-time classic arcade game, in conjunction with partners Antstream Arcade, the world’s first and largest retro game subscription service.
Celebrating the upcoming launch of the Atari VCS and the arrival of Antstream Arcade’s beta service in the United States, players will be able to go head-to-head and rise on Antstream’s leaderboards in the first ever Atari-sanctioned streaming tournament, taking place June 26th to July 2nd.
Atari® fans will be able to have a sneak peak at how the iconic roster of titles will play on the Antstream service, with the Atari VCS due to launch with a free 30-day trial to all Antstream titles, in addition to the hallmark Atari® catalog.

What:
- This will be the first time U.S. gamers will be able to participate in Antstream Arcades Full Throttle challenge in Asteroids®, where players will find their ship’s thrusters permanently on, shooting disabled and the difficulty taken to the next level!
- The top 3 players will receive an annual Antstream membership, with all players able to enter via a free 7-day trial of Antstream using the code ‘AtariTrial7’ (no credit card required).
