Summary

Bat’s is a game that plays like a fast-paced platformer where you play as Vampire characters each with unique abilities. Collect blood from enemies and crates which allows you to do special attacks or once full you turn into a creature for a short time dealing mega damage. Chuck in slight puzzle elements and boss fights and you get what Bats is about. The truth is it was fine for a bit but the levels are very plain with a new obstacle being added each time and being there are only 5 levels it won’t take long to see it all. Boss fights are just frustrating button masher and your reward is getting to choose a new character to unlock. I just didn’t get on with the game, it just felt flat and didn’t really offer anything new or defined it’s like a mash of ideas but loosely put together.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
