Black One Blood Brothers drops you straight into the grit of covert warfare, where every shadow hides a threat and every decision shapes the fate of your squad. This grounded, tactical world thrives on tension, precision, and the unspoken trust between operators. - Full squad management, and you can customise and edit each member.
- Awards menu for each game mode and the different difficulties.
- Full 3D game world.
- Fast loading times, which can actually catch you off guard with their swiftness.
- Uses WASD for movement.
- First and first-person view, you press a button to change, but further to that, you can swap shoulders.
- Some of the most advanced shooting and shooting options in a game I have ever seen, you can hold your breath with any gun, zoom in and out, check how many bullets you have in the mag, change shot types and attachments, lean, it’s just really refreshing and kinda cool.
- The campaign actually houses four types – Official, dynamic, custom, and Steam workshop, and where appropriate, it will say how long or short a campaign episode will be.
- Mission mode lets you create what you want to play, and it has seven game modes – spec ops, recon, war, prisoner of war, siege, lone wolf, and blind ops. You can choose maps, weather, tasks, enemies, difficulty, loadout, and deployment.
- The game is vast and has many game modes, so it can and will cater for every type of gamer.
- 26 ready-to-play maps, but there are a handful of place markers for further maps, so you have some choice.
- Weather options are day and night with clear sky, partially cloudy, cloudy, overcast, and foggy as the conditions.
- Five enemy factions you can take on – The insurgents, rebels, regular army, separatists, and green forest.
- What’s really amazing is how you can adjust every little element of the game, like enemy reaction time, if suicide bombers are a thing, health sizes, enemy hearing size, and even if unforeseen events can trigger.
- I am really impressed with the sheer volume of settings and tweaks in every mode and every setting.
- Light bulbs next to options will give hover text to help explain what the option is.
- In-game cutscenes.
- Tutorial section, and then you have menus and light bulbs to help.
- Has the classic Rainbow Six mechanics, whereby you can choose where each squad member will insert into the map and in some game modes, you can set the extraction point. It’s good to be back. I missed this in newer games. Not content with just that, you can insert via vehicles or on foot, and change the view of the map so you can get a good view of it all.
- You can give detailed or quick-fire directions and orders to your teammates.
- The music is OK, but it does change to add tension to the game, and it works well.
- End of mission breakdown of performance and exp earned. Any earned awards will pop, as will your rank bar going up.
- Six game difficulties – very easy, easy, medium, hard, very hard, and extreme.
- You earn exp in every game mod,e including the ones you make yourself.
- The game moves well, but the camera does jolt around when running and vaulting over windows and walls, etc.
- You can open doors or peek around them before committing.
- Doors can have bombs, and alarms and certain items and skills can allow you to defuse them, sense them, or you could just cut the power.
- It’s a very atmospheric game and has a real combat-heavy feel to it all.
- The campaigns let you set up your squad, and then you cannot change it for the length of the campaign.
- Handy radial menu for quick team member selection.
- Gun customisation is as I haven’t seen for a long time, you can break down many parts and change out so many gun parts to make it your weapon and handle it how you want.
- The Steam workshop means you get near limitless replay value.
- I never bring up the cost of games, but the price of this (13.99) is almost criminal for the quality and polish already in this game.
- Old school shooter fans of games like Rainbow Six and Tom Clancy games in general will love this game, as it keeps what made those old games great, but does clever and needed enhancements to elevate the genre and make it relevant again.

Black One Blood Brothers Preview Cons
- It’s a stupid thing, but quit when in-game and quit the whole game.
- I could not for the life of me find a way to stop the head bobbing when running, vaulting made me feel a bit nauseous due to the camera movements.
- Had a few normal expected glitches like guns clipping through walls.
- I didn’t find the squad setups and options that were clear, so I would miss out on options or accidentally load in with just one member. You don’t get any feedback, like you have one member, are you sure? That would help.
- All the story elements are just text with maybe some basic cutscenes.
