Summary

Broken Sky is an arcade take on the roguelike genre in which you play as a airplane pilot in a 2D world and fly around and take down the enemy. For this you earn unlocks for better gear four plane and thus getting further in the game. It has a cool hub whereby you can move around, pet the dog and click on the computers that act kinda like a menu system. Gameplay wise it’s fine, I’ve seen and played many games like it and don’t see anything new or unique. The view point doesn’t allow for you to see and plan attacks accordingly which in turn makes it quite a frustrating experience. I found it all plain, Playable but no wow factor or hook to keep me coming back. Unlocks are fine but you get a set amount of points to spend on unlocks so even that becomes a tad tedious. I cannot say its a bad game as that’s not the case but its not a new challenge worth taking up either.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
