Cash Cow DX Review, Holy cow, it’s all about the moooney! Embark on an udderly moo-velous adventure where you run, jump, and slide to rescue Cash Cow’s riches from the grasp of those sneaky Pig Pockets and reclaim what’s rightfully hers! Make no mistake – this game is tough as nails!

Cash Cow DX Review Pros:

  • Beautiful retro graphics, full of color.
  • 154MB download size.
  • Game settings – bezel, scanlines, screen flash, screen shake, rumble, volume, reset scores, and Inertia mode – classic or modern.
  • Two ways to play – normal and turbo.
  • Three game difficulties – Easy, normal, and hard.
  • Arcade presentation.
  • The goal of the game is to collect all the money in a level.
  • Local leaderboards for each game mode, game difficulty, and overall.
  • Two additional modes – gold Rush speed run, and endless marathon.
  • Practice mode.
  • You can go through pipes, and fall off in certain parts of the level to appear somewhere else.
  • Simple controls, just movement and jump.
  • Avoid obstacles and enemies.
  • Collect gems for happy hour x2 bonus.
  • Collect pick axes to get a timed attack that one shot kills all enemies.
  • Warning signs pop up when near an enemy.
  • The game is all about speed.
  • A handy percentage of collected money is at the top of the screen.
  • Highly addictive.
  • You get three lives.
  • Excellent Chiptune soundtrack.
  • A lot of fun to play.
  • So simple to learn but so hard to master.

Cash Cow DX Review Cons:

  • Every mode requires you to finish the game first in easy then normal then hard.
  • Takes some getting used to as the jump is not that high so mastering that can be tricky.
  • Learning levels can be a mission in itself.
  • I found sometimes it felt like the hit ox of your character was massive.
  • Cheesey Ai in places.
  • Couldn’t get any online leaderboards.
  • No multiplayer options.
  • You cannot remap the controls.
  • Doesn’t have its own in-game achievements. More of an FYI as a lot of these guys’ games have achievements built in.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
