• The game will do a good job of pushing you forward, like hitting a lever will show what changed or hitting an objective will have the camera pan over to where you should be heading. 
• I like how the game takes the early levels to break you in slowly and adds in new mechanics as you go. 
• Rescuing chickens is easy after you have solved possible puzzles or opened the door. You just walk up to the chickens, and they automatically follow you. 
• You can revive downed or stunned chickens
• Before setting out on a mission, you can select your team and appoint a hero chicken as leader. 
• The whole game moves in real time from movement to combat. 
• You get to play or attack each situation how you want by going all out or stealthing past. 
• It’s a great little game that can do just enough to keep you engaged and have a good time. 
• Alarms can go off, and you have to then find the red button to stop the alarm; otherwise, it’s game over. 
• At times, chickens you rescue will follow a scent to escape, and all you can do is try and guide them by opening and closing doors. This mechanic plays out like a modern Lemmings game. 
• The goal of the game is to always get all captured chickens and escape in the van. 
• The training mode is a huge open area, and it lets you choose items and try them out. 
• World map level select and earning stars can unlock new levels and a story. 
• Good loading times. 
• A surprisingly smart little game that proves there’s still life in this genre.

Chicken Run: Eggstraction Review Cons

• You cannot remap the controls for the controller. 
• No online Co op play. 
• The gameplay can get very chaotic, and having a load of chickens running around like they have a missing head can be quite stressful, more so because you don’t have a lot of tools to help. 
• I had a lot of problems getting the game to run nicely; it would stutter or look smoky a lot of the time. 
• No way in-game to review previous tutorials or help text, which is a real pain the first time around.
