Summary

Clid The Snail is a top-down shooter that looks fabulous with an endearing almost fable-like atmosphere, it starts with a strong cutscene and then a series of tutorials. I enjoyed Clid for a while but the same niggles kept coming back from the lighting causing issues on seeing enemies, the level design not always being clear, and the lack of signposting. I’m not saying all these make Clid a bad game, far from it what I am saying is, a good game can be found but it does have a lot to frustrate and you will need to prepare yourself for a hard slog. Clid The Snail will suit people who like a challenge.
