  • Cartoon graphics.
  • 170.8MB download size.
  • Platinum trophy.
  • You get the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 versions of the game.
  • Puzzle platformer gameplay.
  • The goal of the game is to collect all the stars and then hit the exit.
  • Fast loading times.
  • The gimmick is that you hit a switch to change your character’s color and can only survive on your matching color blocks.
  • Instant respawn.
  • The end of the level lets you replay or quit back to the menu.
  • Simple controls.
  • Easy trophy list.
  • Very accessible.
  • The music is repetitive but it’s not too bad.
  • Supports playing with a d-pad and/or analog sticks.
  • As you progress more obstacles and requirements unlock like collecting keys.
  • Level select screen.
  • It can replay levels.
  • Earn a 1 to 3-star rating.
  • 50 levels to unlock.
  • You don’t need to finish every level for the Platinum trophy or get max stars on every level.

Color Pals Review Cons:

  • No tutorial.
  • Little to no replay value.
  • Cannot rebind controls.
  • You can’t see the control scheme.
  • Feels like a mobile game in a way.
  • No time limit or scoring mechanic.
  • You can kind of hang on to the ledge making some jumps easier but you cannot do anything else but jump and it has a considerable biting point for the ledge grabbing.
  • Nothing unique on offer.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
