  • Decent graphics.
  • 2.9GB download size.
  • Controller options – Invert axis and sensitivity sliders.
  • Level select menu for unlocked levels.
  • Really well-done voice work.
  • In-game cutscenes.
  • First-person view when out of the suit and third-person when in the suit.
  • Astro tool device houses your database, mission log, and tools.
  • Despite the Dark history of it, all the locations are a thing of beauty.
  • A full 3D game world with 360-degree camera control.
  • Adventure survival gameplay.
  • Tutorial pop-ups as you play.
  • Button prompts show to help you learn the controls and will show scannable objects, climbable elements, etc.
  • Your scanner lets you scan and catalog your findings with text and images.
  • Pick up items like posters, books, and parts and view them in 3D and you can press a button to get any text displayed in an easier-to-read font.
  • Very atmospheric.
  • Find emails, letters, voice voicemails to learn about what happened.
  • Puzzle elements across the world and they can take zero gravity solutions.
  • The database is very much a checklist of objects to find and scan, the database is split into sections.
  • The very early-on sequence where you have to start up and launch the rocket is really well done and very impactful.
  • Seamless transitions between cutscenes and gameplay.
  • For the best experience, its a must to use headphones.
  • Has a lot of memorable little set pieces like docking your ship or getting valves turned on.
  • You replay levels to get all the scannable objects.
  • Fantastic soundtrack.
  • It is a game that always has you on edge.

Deliver Us The Moon Review Cons:

  • Cannot remap controls.
  • Loading times are short and long.
  • Performance is alright but it does drop frames and screen tears a fair bit in built-up areas.
  • Graphics pop in or smooth out over time.
  • Few jaggy and blurry textures.
  • You do have to be really precise with interactions and button prompt pop-ups.
  • Game closures have happened a few times and it’s always a critical part.
  • Found the rocket launch at the beginning to be fiddly as you use the left stick like a mouse, you have to almost guess which buttons and levers are what as the instructions and image are blurry and not clear.
  • Never sure when it’s saved.
  • Doesn’t offer a save button, only a load one.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
