In our Dino Galaxy Tennis Review, we take on the role of a dinosaur, whose dream is to win the Galactic Tennis Tournament. To reach the grand final, we will have to visit 5 planets and defeat their leaders, with every victory confirmed by a unique badge. This will not only bring you closer to the final but will also unlock special abilities that become useful in future matches. With the help of your mentor and special practices, you will be able to improve your results between tournaments. Throughout the story, you will also encounter a cheating opponent, which needs to be eliminated in a match.

Three game types – Story, Vs, and challenges.

The story can be played in solo or local co-op.
Can be played with a Joycon.
PONG-style gameplay.
Opening tutorial level.
World map level select whereby you fly a ship around to select the world/level.
The goal of the game – both players are on each side of the screen on a planet, they/you need to knock the ball and hit the planet to score.
Controls are simple and advanced in equal measure. You can just do simple hit moves or you can run fast, jump and smash or even build up your special and do a hard to return shot.
Vs mode supports four local players.
The vs mode settings are – left/right planet life bar, sets the amount, hits power, powerups frequency, and available powerups.
Can restart a match from the pause menu.
Four challenge modes – armageddon, block breaker, endless, and flying.
Local leaderboards for each challenge mode and for both solo and Co-op.
Ten teams to play as with an additional one to unlock from completing the story mode.
Great multiplayer game.

Dino Galaxy Tennis Review Cons:

Cannot rebind controls.
No online leaderboards.
Co-op and vs are local only.
The controls take a lot of getting used to as halfway around the planet the controls flip.
Little replay value if playing solo.
