- Each character earns EXP and levels up which allows you to pick either health, power, or skill points to increase.

Echo Generation Midnight Edition Review Cons:
- No touchscreen support.
- The beginning is slow and painful as it doesn’t help guide you so you know what’s expected.
- A lot of performance issues like a slowdown, glitching through walls, etc.
- The story is a bit up and down, especially with the pacing.
- At times it feels like a game I have played many times before.
- Gets repetitive.
- Combat begins to outstay its welcome.
- Checkpointing means you will end up playing sections over and over.
- No voice work.
