Exsys Preview Cons:

  • Barely any music and it makes it all feel empty.
  • Many instances of falling through walls and ledges.
  • No Steam achievements.
  • Cannot rebind controls.
  • Feels like all you do is burn through items for momentary bursts of energy and strength.
  • The tutorial is very very basic.
  • Doesn’t do a good job of explaining the unique fighting system.
  • The game world goes a long time with not a lot happening.
  • Had a few times where the enemies are Invincible or they hit me when they died.
  • Random events can just repeat instantly.
  • My abilities bar would constantly fill up with the same skills.
  • No real in-your-face notification about getting skills.
  • The constant need to put items in your quick menu is a pain.
  • Invisible walls.
  • When you die it just goes straight back to the main menu and that’s it no save or load.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
