Final Apex Review (Xbox Series S)



For this Final Apex Review review, where we play an arcade racing game set in the near future.  And get behind the wheel of 7 unique cars, each with its own stats, and handle a race at crazy speeds around 70 tracks across career and series game modes.

Final Apex Review Pros:

  • Decent graphics.
  • 1.3GB download size.
  • Racing gameplay.
  • Three ways to play – Career, Series, and test drive.
  • Seven vehicles to unlock in career with two unlocked initially. Each has unique stats for power, speed, brake, and steering.
  • Three driving views – cockpit, close, and far.
  • Music volume button that can also turn the music off.
  • Banging techno-like soundtrack.
  • Familiar controls.
  • The career mode has 70 tracks/events to unlock.
  • Unlock new tracks and cars by scoring points in events.
  • Auto saves regularly.
  • The series race mode is set up of seven seasons and you have to finish one to unlock the next.
  • Every car has seven color choices.
  • In the series of race events, you stop the ever-moving cursor to see your grid position.
  • Neon font used in the game.
  • Test drive mode is just a case of picking any unlocked car and racing it on any unlocked race track/location.
  • Full stats screen on the main menu.
  • Nails the sense of speed.
  • The appeal is the difficulty.

Final Apex Review Cons:

  • No tutorials.
  • Hitting ANY part of the grass will have you basically stopping dead.
  • The handling is loose and takes a lot of getting used to.
  • No achievements.
  • Cannot rebind controls.
  • Boasts no settings at all.
  • No multiplayer.
  • The more corners the more the game shows its flaws.
  • Doesn’t have any online/local leaderboards.
  • The driving views are not brilliant with the cockpit one actually being a hindrance.
  • Cannot change the units used to its Kmh.
