Summary

Ghostrunner 2 is a visually stunning game with highly detailed graphics that immerse you in a dark, gritty cyberpunk world. The game, which has a download size of 13.42GB, offers various graphics settings for quality, performance, and high frame rate. The game’s gore can be turned on and off, and there’s a field-of-view slider for customization.

The first-person melee parkour gameplay is lightning fast-paced and involves a lot of jumping, wall running, and sliding around. The combat is brutal and gory, with a one-hit-one-kill mechanic that keeps the tension high. You can block time with your sword to send projectiles back and use the environment to your advantage.

The game also offers six controller schemes to choose from, with options to invert axis and sensitivity sliders, response curve mapping, and a deadzone slider. There’s an optional Ghostrunner 1 story summary for those who want a refresher on the backstory.

The level design has an almost puzzle-like element to it, requiring repetition and learning as you figure out the rhythm of the level. However, this can lead to a lot of repeating the same section over and over, which can be infuriating at first due to its steep learning curve.

Despite these challenges, it’s incredibly satisfying when you nail the perfect run or even just kill an enemy spectacularly. The game runs at an incredible speed and every encounter feels different with many ways to tackle each one.

Additional features include a photo mode for capturing your best moments, pop-up tutorial windows as you play, hidden collectibles for the explorers, and instant respawning upon death. However, the opening cutscene is unskippable and there are no difficulty options – just one standard mode.

Overall, Ghostrunner 2 is a visually stunning game with fast-paced combat and parkour gameplay that requires quick reflexes and strategic thinking. It can be challenging at times due to its steep learning curve and one-hit-one-death mechanic but offers a rewarding experience for those who persevere. It is more of the same so you know what to expect. It is a game that delights and frustrates in equal measure.
