Go Birdie Review (Nintendo Switch)



Our Go Bird Review showcases this puzzle game all about avoiding enemies, pushing blocks, and using power-ups to collect the fruit.  Being a little nestling, Birdie listened to the story about a Golden Grain many times. Growing up he dreamed of finding the treasure, however, he didn’t have enough strength and determination. Now, when he is grown up, he decided to fulfill his childhood dream and find this artifact.

Go Birdie Pros:

  • Cartoon graphics.
  • 208MB download size.
  • Two-player local support.
  • Puzzle gameplay.
  • Local leaderboard.
  • The goal of the game is to avoid the enemies and collect all the fruit.
  • Push blocks/bushes around to block the enemy but do it too much and they break.
  • Pick up special items to freeze or hinder the enemy.
  • Practice level that can be replayed.
  • Unlock bonus levels.
  • Two characters- a green bird or a Toucan.
  • Health- you get four hearts and lose all for game over, you lose one heart per hit.
  • A game over has you starting again.

Go Birdie Cons:

  • No touchscreen support.
  • Doesn’t have online leaderboards.
  • Basic gameplay.
  • Feels like a simple mobile port.
  • No replay value.
