Summary
Go! Go! PogoGirl is going for the retro feel from pixel art graphics to the bright 90s color palette. It’s a platformer where you are on a pogo stick so you are always jumping, it sounds fun but it can get tedious, especially when facing a boss who jumps, oh and the whole one-hit death thing unless you get lucky and find a shield to add an additional hit. The platforming is very basic and whilst it does get more intricate later on adding in breakable platforms, balloons and that the platforming still never feels that different. It’s a game that outstays its welcome a few times but it is easy enough so if you need a feel-good I finished a game moment then this is fine or if you want an easy Platinum trophy.
