For this Gravity Runner Review, we play some physics-based 3D Platformer/Runner with a killer synth-wave soundtrack. Make your way through retro synth-wave worlds, filled with challenging gravity anomalies to escape an ever-growing black hole.

Gravity Runner Review Pros:

  • Decent neon wave-style graphics.
  • 1.03GB Download size.
  • Steam achievements.
  • Controller support.
  • Runner gameplay.
  • Basic tutorial.
  • Graphics – preset, texture, anti-aliasing method, anti-aliasing quality, effects, post-processing, motion blur, reflections, and bloom.
  • Display settings – fullscreen, resolution, v-sync, lock frame rate, and brightness.
  • Can rebind controls for both keyboard and the controller buttons.
  • Fantastic soundtrack.
  • As you run through the level you disrupt the gravity of the environment and this stays as such until you reset the level/run.
  • The goal is to get to the black hole at the end.
  • World map level select.
  • Can replay levels.
  • Tapes are collected and give you a limited double jump ability.
  • You can jump and do a slightly longer jump.
  • Fast restarts from falling through or off the level.
  • Distance counter.
  • Generous checkpoints.
  • Very addictive.
  • Any type of element in the level can help or hinder you.
  • Local leaderboards.
  • Every level has multiple routes to take.
  • Feels unique every time even if you are running the same level over and over.
  • Cool background animations.
  • Controls are just move and jump, that’s it.
  • Levels can get new elements like going upside down or going to another part of the level and back again.
  • Stats will show how much you have run, time played running and tapes collected.
  • Collecting tapes also helps unlock newer levels.

Gravity Runner Review Cons:

  • Difficult.
  • The huge learning curve in places.
  • No quick reset or restart button.
  • You can mess up a level so bad you have to restart.
  • No player shadow so it’s hard to judge jumps and landings.
  • Not always clear on the fail conditions.
  • No online leaderboards.
