  • All actions level up with repetition like fighting, Lockpicking, etc.
  • First-person perspective.
  • A full 3D world with 360-degree camera control.
  • Combat is very close to For Honor. You have a wheel that you control with the right stick to choose body parts of your enemy to attack. You can do combos thanks to actions like thrust, Jab, and kicks. It is hard at first but can be quite rewarding.
  • Jaunty Medieval soundtrack.
  • Tutorial pop-ups as you play along with set pieces like learning sword fighting.
  • Strong voice work.
  • Enemies take visible damage as you fight like cuts and bruises appear on their faces.
  • Horse- Used for traveling but can also be used for storage. Has a handy follow-road mechanic when a checkpoint is set.
  • In-game cutscenes and character interactions along with a handful of hand-drawn tapestry-looking stills.
  • You can skip cutscenes by parts or as a whole.
  • Hunger system in play. Eat to keep up your strength, You get weaker as you get hungry, Likewise, you can overeat and become slow and clumsy.
  • Stamina system at play for fighting and running.
  • Vendors- You can haggle and trade with vendors for better prices or in some cases, Worst prices.
  • There is an honor system in play so acting badly like stealing or fighting locals can lower your level within the town and have people running away from you.
  • A beautiful tapestry art-style map that can mark and zoom in and out of. It will show objectives and you have full control over what it displays like main or subquests.
  • Fast travel points can be unlocked.
  • multiple choice interactions that are straightforward.
  • Living breathing world.
  • Sleep/rest allows you to choose the time you carry on. When resting you still suffer hunger.
  • Can interact with anyone.
  • The story is the real jewel in the crown, It is movie standard and grabs you within minutes of being exposed to it.
  • Drips with atmosphere from the ambient sounds of village life to the conversations between the locals.
  • It is possible to finish quests in different ways. You don’t have to pass or succeed in every part of the quest.
  • The game uses a physics-based impact system.
  • Possible to earn and acquire a perk that cuts down the need to eat and sleep so much.
  • Alchemy- Learn and find new potions to create
  • Farkle- Dice mini-game that is playable from taverns. A two-player dice game where you roll to reach a certain amount of points first.
  • Lockpicking is intricate and detailed and looks the same as in Skyrim at a glance.
  • Pickpocketing is possible.
  • Many towns and cities to explore, and Each one feels unique.
  • Day and night cycle with weather types such as high winds and rain.
  • Huge emphasis on the word realism, The game will not hold your hand or make it easy to do tasks or fights.
  • Clever systems at play like the clothes you wear dictate who will talk to you or where you can go.
  • Interacting with people is important for many reasons and you can use persuasion to get what you want persuasive means can be what you say, your current social standing, what you are wearing, and more.
  • Everyone will have a different experience.
  • The codex fills in as you discover new characters, sellers, and points of interest.
  • Main and optional side quests with full quest management and markers.
  • The compass at the top of the screen shows mission markers, markers, and points of interest.

Kingdom Come Deliverance Royal Edition Review Cons:

  • You can skip and fast-forward interactions and cutscenes.
  • No touchscreen support.
  • The graphics are fine but in close-up scenarios, it looks like it has a shiny pixel art filter over the top and it looks weird.
  • The performance is not smooth with a lot of screen tearing and popping in.
  • Long constant loading screens, Happen before and after each cutscene or interaction.
  • The first boot-up load is a long one, A good five minutes.
  • Robotic stiff animations outside of the cutscenes.
  • A lot to take in as you get a full page of tiny text to read.
  • Janky player animations form players walking through each other to ones where they morph together into one.
  • Combat requires a lot of practice and patience.
  • The compass at the top is hard to read.
  • Slow starter and has a generally slow pace about it.
  • The story is brutal fast and well done but that takes hours to happen in player-controlled gameplay.
  • Constant stop-starts and a lot of boring fetch quests.
  • The hunger/sleep system is a bit too powerful in that it happens so fast, Yes you can get a perk but not straight away.
  • Tiny text in all the menus with no options.
  • Doesn’t offer a huge amount in terms of refinement.
  • Saving is a nightmare. You can only save when you sleep (which can only be done at certain times) when you hit email quest points or if you have a Schnapps drink which is limited but can be crafted if you put the time and resources into it.
  • Loading times are not always great and you get them when entering new cutscenes.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
