Lies Of P Tube T31 SSD Stick Review Pros:

  • A solid-looking device with beautiful artwork.
  • 1TB size.
  • You can change the default installation settings for the pen on the Xbox Series S. (Optional)
  • Format the pen through the Xbox series S and choose if it’s for media or games.
  • You can rename the pen on the Xbox series S.
  • Set if the pen will be attached to this one console or if it will be used on multiple consoles.
  • I still get the same speeds downloading to the pen on the Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5 as I do when downloading to the internal hard drive.
  • As standard but worth reminding you that you can set the default location for Xbox games, backwards compatible games, and apps separately so for example backward compatible games goto the pen and all Xbox games go to the internal hard drive.
  • Very quick and clear to set up, the Xbox guides you thorough every step of the setup and has handy explanation guides.
  • The PlayStation 5 allows you to format the pen on the console itself.
  • You get a format progress bar on the PlayStation 5.
  • The PlayStation 5 has a safely removed option for the pen.
  • You can format the pen on the PlayStation 5 as exFat. (doing this won’t allow you to download any games or apps to the pen)
  • In downloads and updates on the PlayStation 5 software, you will see a USB icon to say it’s downloading onto the pen.
  • On the XMB (yeah I still call it that!) games on the pen will show the USB icon when hovered over.
  • Installed games list menu on the PlayStation 5 to seperate the internal and external pen installs.
  • The new PlayStation dashboard section they added shows storage space, which has a handy button to swap the details to the pen and vice versa.
  • Didn’t notice any lag or performance issues with games running off the pen on the PlayStation 5.
  • The Xbox shows the games installed on the pen in the exact same way that the internal hard drive does.
  • No noticeable performance issues on the games installed on the pen in the Xbox series S.
  • It has a fair amount of weight to it.
  • Beautiful artwork on both pens and even the box art is fantastic.
  • You get some really cool stickers that range from characters to logos and the graffiti you see in the game.
  • You get dark and white stickers for different surfaces.
  • If you don’t notice the pull tab on the box then you may never notice the stickers are underneath.
  • You don’t get anything for Lies of P on the pen itself.
  • Unless you know the design anyone looking at the pen wouldn’t know it was a Lies of P product.
  • An excellent bit of kit for video capture as you can easily swap the pen from console to PC.

Lies Of P Tube T31 SSD Stick Review Cons:

  • The Xbox Series S didn’t have a format progress bar.
  • It won’t let me download and install PlayStation 5 games onto the pen, PlayStation 4, and apps only onto the pen.
  • The PlayStation 5 doesn’t pop up saying device connected and instead, you have to go into the storage settings.
  • There is no grip texture on the pens so just be careful when handling it, I found it could easily slide off the chair or out of a pocket.
  • They chose white as a color for the pen which shows up dirt.
  • For using it with a console it is a big boy and likes to stick out.
  • There is nowhere to stick the lid of the pen when in use.
  • The device does have a bit of weight.
  • The notifications and signage, if you are using the pen beforehand, are not clear at all on the PlayStation 5.
  • Xbox Series S only has the one format type setting.
  • I cannot launch any big games that are installed in it through the xbox series S, it only let’s you boot games from the internal storage or from an expansion card.
  • Will not download games when the Xbox series S is in sleep mode.
