- You can even change settings for things like boot display, light reduction, hidden colors, coin mode, etc.
- Fast-loading screens.
- Arcade presentation.
- Some of the best game soundtracks.
- Marquee cards can be bright up and these show moves, attacks, combos, etc for each character, you can zoom in and around the card.
- There is a standardized moves list in the pause menu.
- Each game lets you change the wallpaper/border art, display size (full size/full 4:3/original select/original 4:3/wide) and set one of nine filters which are different types like CRT or scan lines, etc.
- The game screen preview lets you see your settings before playing.
- Each game has quick save and quick load support.
- Marvel Vs Capcom 2 is a 3v3 fighter, you pick your team and what type of fighter they are (fighter dependent), and set the game to normal or turbo.
- The Punisher is a side-scrolling beat ’em-up like Final Fight but with a lot more violence.
- X men children of the atom is 1v1 with combo counters and special moves. You can set the guard to manual or automatic.
- Marvel Super Heroes is the older game here and a 1v1, you do get control help before and after a fight.
- All the animations are crazy good.
- X men Vs Street Fighter is a 2v2 fighter.
- Marvel Super Heroes Vs Street Fighter is a 2v2 with easy or manual guarding and Turbo mode.
- Marvel Vs Capcom Clash of Super Heroes is a 2v2 and you get a third random special partner for each fight to call in.
- These are the games that highlighted and elevated the jump high in the air mechanic so all you see is the opponent arrow.
- Casual matches online let you enable one-button special moves and set the region.
- You can quickly and easily go between games.
Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics Review Cons:
- Not the most graphic setting for a game like this to push the frames.
- Using the marquee cards is not always ideal.
- A couple of the older games really show their age even in the collection, especially when up against other newer titles, you see the flaws and limits.
- Takes some getting used to just how vertical this game goes.
- Punisher Co-op is local only and not online.
- The games are just the single-player modes and online lobby no other extra modes etc.
- You don’t have like a fighter card to show off earned medals and coins.
