This New Pokémon Snap Review is inspired by the classic Nintendo 64 game, embark on a safari through the scorching deserts and dense jungles of the Lental region, taking photos of wild Pokémon thriving in nature.

  • Scoring-every image is given a 1-4 star system and a further numeral score based on off-pose, size, direction, placement, other Pokémon, and background.
  • Pokémon Photodex- fills in as you collect images of Pokémon.

  • Game-you go to a location and move on rails through the area to the exit, you take pictures of Pokémon as you see them.
  • Pokémon images are stored in individual folders and you choose one of each Pokémon type to submit for scoring.

  • Slow to process your pictures at the end.
  • Slow pace to it all.
  • It just takes so long to get going.
  • Unlocks feel like they should have been there from the beginning.
  • Due to the nature of the gameplay, one can miss an opportunity so easily.
  • If you are not careful you can overdo it with the picture taking.
