Only Up! Review (Steam)

For our Only Up! Review, we play a game that is set to defy gravity, leap like never before, and experience the exhilarating world of parkour in a whole new light! This isn’t just your ordinary parkour jump simulator – it’s a dynamic ONLINE MULTIPLAYER adventure that transforms your every move into a gravity-defying spectacle.

Only Up! Review Pros:

  • Decent graphics.
  • Download size.
  • Graphics settings – graphics quality preset.
  • Three play options – play a quick match and private room.
  • Players online are shown.
  • Earn bolts from playing and unlock new character models.
  • Parkour gameplay.
  • The goal of the game is to keep going up by any means necessary.
  • You can play against online players in real-time.
  • The play option lets you play solo and you can see other players’ best efforts.
  • Get power-ups like a jetpack or double jump.
  • Helicopter pads act as a checkpoint in solo amd online play.
  • Simple controls.
  • Ten different locations to unlock and play.
  • A full 3D world with 360-degree camera control.

Only Up! Review Cons:

  • There are no actual graphics settings.
  • Download does not support a controller.
  • The movement and Jump are slow and broken resulting in cheap deaths.
  • No tutorials.
  • Vaulting is broken, I vaulted in thin air and didn’t vault when the animation started.
  • When hitting the lava it is just a skin and you can still run around.
  • Slow to restart after falling or failing.
  • A real grind to unlock the characters.
  • No settings for mouse sensitivity or controls.
  • Cannot put your own name in.
  • Doesn’t offer any Steam achievements.
  • You can only hit menu options if you ESC on the right screen.
  • Slowdowns and pop-ups happen in places.
  • Bad matchmaking if it even works.
  • It’s not fun to play.
  • The game feels rushed and incomplete.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
