Is the European Tour DLC the Toughest Challenge in Parking Garage Rally?
The low-poly madness is back, but this time it’s ditching the American malls for the tight, claustrophobic concrete across the pond. The European Tour DLC isn’t just a simple map pack; it’s a high-speed middle finger to anyone who thought they’d mastered the base game’s drifting physics. It’s loud, it’s chunky, and it brings a level of technicality that makes those early American garages look like a Sunday drive through a supermarket car park.

Parking Garage Rally Circuit European Tour Steam Review: Specs & HUD
- Download Size: The DLC sits at 295.82MB, and it’s actually installed for everyone regardless of purchase to keep the online lobby system from breaking.
- UI Consistency: The HUD remains that glorious, minimalist retro style, keeping your eyes on the tight European corners instead of clutter.

Gameplay Review & Mechanics Breakdown
There are 8 new courses to race in, and let me tell you, they are a different beast entirely. One of the new tracks has this massive multi-storey winding path so you can do mad drifting as you go up, which is easily the highlight of the pack. It plays just as well as the original tracks, but the difficulty spike is massive; the tracks are longer, tighter, and are generally a lot harder than the original, which is satisfying but also kind of frustrating when you’re hitting walls. I’m not a fan that you have to earn a trophy in order to unlock the next track, but that’s more a window into how bad I am at the game. A slight issue is that some of the tracks have a large chunk of open road, and the problem there is that the whole pace of the race slows down, losing that tight garage energy I love.

Parking Garage Rally Circuit European Tour Steam Review: Performance & Fidelity
- Visual Fidelity: The European aesthetic is spot on, with tighter environments that look brilliant in that chunky, pixelated Sega Saturn style.
- Achievement Issues: Strangely, no new achievements showed up for me in the achievements list for the game, which is a bit of a letdown for the completionists.
- Rock Solid FPS: Even with the more complex multi-storey winding paths, the performance never dips, maintaining that essential arcade fluidity.
- Inclusive Tech: You can play online matches with people who have the DLC even if you do not own it, which is a cool, inclusive thing that ensures the community stays together.
Settings, Customisation & Control Details
- Save Compatibility: The game saves your car and setup from the main game, so you can jump straight in without having to rebuild your favourite ride.
- New Tunes: There are new soundtrack additions, and they are excellent and fit straight in with the existing high-energy vibe.
- Leaderboard Grind: Every one of the 8 new tracks features its own online leaderboards, perfect for chasing those world-record drift times.
- Input Consistency: The controls feel exactly like the base game, twitchy, responsive, and demanding of your full attention on every hairpin.

Summary
GOOD STUFF
The European Tour DLC brings 8 new courses to race in that really test your skill, especially that massive multi-storey winding path where you can pull off some truly mad drifting as you climb. It’s fantastic that the game saves your car and setup from the main game, so you can jump straight in, and the new soundtrack additions are excellent and fit the vibe perfectly. I also love that the 295.82MB download size is universal, meaning you can play online matches with people who have the DLC even if you do not own it, which is a really cool, inclusive thing for the community.
BAD STUFF
The tracks are definitely longer, tighter, and generally a lot harder than the original, which is satisfying but also kind of frustrating when the difficulty hits a wall. I’m not a fan of the fact that you have to earn a trophy just to unlock the next track, as it can feel like a grind if you’re struggling with the new layouts. Also, some of the tracks have a large chunk of open road, and the problem there is that the whole pace of the race slows down too much. Finally, it’s a bit of a shame that no new achievements showed up for me in the list for this expansion.
FINAL VERDICT
The European Tour is a must-buy for anyone who loves the base game but wants a steeper challenge. The tracks are meaner, the drifts are longer, and the vibe is just as pure as it was on day one. While the unlock system and a few slow stretches of road can be annoying, the sheer thrill of the multi-storey climbs makes this an easy recommendation. It’s more content, more challenge, and more reasons to kill your tyres.
