For our Quantum Recharged Review, where we realize it has been Over 40 years since its arcade debut, Quantum: Recharged warps the classic arcade title with modern flourishes that have become a staple among the Recharged series. Defeat waves of enemies using your ship to circle around them and create a punishing deadzone. By removing the traditional ability to shoot enemies, this title challenges players to avoid taking damage and progress through increasingly difficult levels.

- Missions mode is a set mission usually with modifiers or a particular goal.

- Excellent soundtrack.
- Can be played with a keyboard.
- Opening tutorial section.
- Graphics settings – fullscreen resolution, v-sync, fps, screenshake, windowed mode, and fish eye effect.
- Colorblind support.
- Controller/mouse settings – Invert axis and sensitivity sliders, vibration, mouse button toggle, and accessibility mouse controls.
- Three ways to play arcade – Iron Man, extreme, and Zen modifiers or you can have none.
- The game is where you need to avoid enemies and kill them by joining up your flight trail to create a vortex.
- You can create many vortexes at once.
- Power-ups drop from enemies.
- You have three actions – movement, speed up, and dash.
- Gets quite addictive.
- Your best score is shown on the arcade menu.
- A lot of fun.
- Once it clicks it really does flow well.
- You can take three hits before the game is over.
Quantum Recharged Review Cons:
- Takes a bit of getting used to.
- One of those games that could be better for people to play with a mouse.
- The tutorial is very brief.
- No online Co-op.
- Doesn’t offer any history of the game.
- Just the one graphics style so no original graphics options.
- Cannot rebind controls.

It’s time to once again go back in time with a twist as the next Recharged game brings us Quantum Recharged. The game has two modes: missions and arcade, and can be played solo or with two local players. It has full controller support, an excellent soundtrack, and can also be played with a keyboard. The tutorial is brief and the game takes some getting used to. There are no online co-op or history of the game features, and the controls cannot be rebound. The graphics settings include options for fullscreen resolution, v-sync, fps, screenshake, windowed mode, and fish eye effect. There is also colorblind support and controller/mouse settings. In arcade mode, there are three ways to play: Iron Man, extreme, and Zen modifiers or none. The gameplay involves avoiding enemies and killing them by creating vortexes with your flight trail. Power-ups drop from enemies and you have three actions: movement, speed up, and dash. The game is addictive and a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. Your best score is shown on the arcade menu and you can take three hits before the game is over. Overall it’s a great little nostalgic piece and is fun once you get into the flow of it all Don’t underestimate the power of co-op in this title.
