For this Ragnarok Survivors: Valhalla Preview, we attempt to prove to Odin that you deserve a place at the table in the afterlife and survive Ragnarok. Or die, and leave your worldly belongings to the next Viking. Unlock new characters and buy new weapons and abilities to improve your chance of survival.

Ragnarok Survivors: Valhalla Preview Pros:

  • 112.7MB download size.
  • Steam achievements.
  • Full controller support.
  • Graphics settings – resolution, fullscreen, v-sync, and borderless.
  • Three keyboard layout choices.
  • Camera shake option.
  • Fourteen total characters to play as two are available initially then you unlock the rest.
  • The main village requires gold and runes in order to buy jew settlement unlocks and improve/upgrade the ones you have.
  • Twelve destinations l, you get one initially then unlock the rest by upgrading your shipyard.
  • Loadout can be tweaked before a raid with items/equipment you have unlocked and you can add abilities state changes or buffs.
  • End of a run breakdown showing kill count, weapon runes collected, bosses are beaten, and any other blessings.
  • Roguelike gameplay.
  • Each character has unique – weapons, speed, armor, health, and magnet.
  • As you play the enemies get bigger and more appear.
  • Pick up exp gems that randomly drop from enemies and level up to choose one of the choices for a level up.
  • Simple controls.
  • Adds a lot more depth to the genre.
  • Boss encounters.

Ragnarok Survivors: Valhalla Preview Cons:

  • Slow starter.
  • The two starting characters are both the same weapon type so it takes ages to get the game going.
  • Just beginning the game overall is rough.
  • Gold takes a while to get but it’s nothing compared to the runes you need for upgrading and building.
  • The unlock requirements for the characters are drawn out and full of grind.
