The original game was in my eyes one of the best examples of a Shmup experience so getting into the remix version I was sceptical. I needn’t of been, it’s the same great solid gameplay but it has new modes, levels and scoring mechanics that keep it all fresh and addictive. For me it’s the visuals matched with the awesome soundtrack that keeps me glues to the screen, yes it’s difficult but that makes it the more satisfying. I wish it had a bit more extras like ebeing able to watch and download replays from the leaderboards for example but even as it is Raiden IV X MIKADO Remix is at home on the Nintendo Switch and is one of the best Shmup games on the market.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
