  • Need Nintendo online to use the leaderboards.
  • Slow reset button.
  • Using analog no matter the sensitivity is too sensitive.
  • No River Raid!…STILL.
  • Cannot stretch the screen or mess around much with the screen ratio.
  • The collection won’t be for everyone.
  • Annoying menu music.
  • No extras.

Summary

When it comes to collections like this, Gamers will look for a particular game or a particular set of extras or options. But here we have 150 games! as always some games will be missing for whatever reason but 150 is a solid number. It is easy to jump between games, The collection is alright. I mean it has no River Raid AGAIN but one day it will so I can retire my WW2 Call of duty game disc. But I digress, The games work really well and the d-pad is the definitive control method unless it is a paddle game, Then its the analog. I like that you can tailor each game individually but I also hate that you can’t do a blanket setting across all games. MP is fun when you finally found a game but its very quiet. This is a collection for local play more than online and it is fun just looking at the original box art of classic games. The tabletop mode really brings home the arcade feel. Being able to navigate the UI with the touchscreen is a welcome addition. In short, it is a collection that does what you want it to do and is the definitive version thanks to the huge list of games, Extensive local mp options and online. In conclusion, this is the version of the collection to get as it caters for everyone.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
