Review: Fast RMX (Nintendo Switch)

  • Championship- 3 Leagues Sybsonic, Supersonic and Hypersonic. 10 cups in each.
  • 15 Machines to unlock.
  • Multiplayer- Split screen, Online and local.
  • Banging techno soundtrack.
  • Hero mode- Race with new rules and scenarios.
  • You spectate the race you are waiting to join.
  • Local and split screen has full custom options available.
  • Can rebind controls.
  • Motion control support.
  • Rumble support.
  • Graphics options- Show tags, Map on/off, Dynamic camera exposure and chromatic aberration.
  • Fast loading times.
  • Weather effects like rain and fog.
  • Some beautiful locations from jungles to cities to deserts.
  • Four views to choose from. (Change in game with a button press)
  • Perfect launch start speed start bonus.
  • Clear minimal UI and in game HUD.
  • More elemental hazards this time round from fans trying to blow you off to rogue cargo crates blocking you.
  • Lightening 1080p 60fps speed.

Cons:

  • Cheap AI at times.
  • No time trial mode.
  • No leader boards.
  • Multiplayer is very bare bones atm, No cup or championship modes.
  • Not a game with weapons. (Just making the point)
  • No colourblind support.
  • No way to set up a game with friends only.

Since writing the review,  Shin’en Multimedia have tweeted that new FREE content is coming soon and lists friend games and time trial among the new features.
