Review: Gun Crazy (PlayStation 4)

Gun Crazy is a fast-paced and hectic arcade-style action shoot em’ up sporting old school pixel art and a retro soundtrack.

Pros:

  • Big pixel graphics.

  • Platinum trophy.
  • Cross-buy with Playstation Vita.
  • Stackable Platinum trophy.
  • Platform shooter gameplay.
  • Mini-boss and boss fights.
  • Run and gun mentality.
  • Optional learn controls section.
  • Two modes-arcade and 1cc.
  • Simple to play.
  • 3 continues.
  • Screen shake-on/off.
  • Pick up powerups in the game.
  • Easy Platinum taking under 20 minutes.

Cons:

  • No reply value.
  • Lacks leaderboards.
  • The level design is simple.
  • Very busy looking screens.
  • Have to unlock 1cc mode.
  • Multi-directional shooting is on the left stick and you cannot change it.
