Review: Hyper Jam (PlayStation 4)

Hyper Jam is a neon-soaked arena brawler with a dynamic perk drafting system that makes each match different from the last. The hard-hitting fusion of lethal weapons, stackable perks, furious combat, and a killer synthwave soundtrack makes Hyper Jam a multiplayer experience that’ll keep you coming back for more.

  • Game rules- Score limit, Weapons available, Perks, Laser strikes and unlimited ammo on/off.
  • GHyper Jam gameplay is a Deathmatch with weapons spawning randomly, You have to kill the three other players, As time goes on the arena gets smaller and when you die you come back as a laser and can damage in-game players.
  • Round end you get a score breakdown of all players like damage dealt, Placement etc.
  • Win! All you need to do is fill your points bar first then win the next game.
  • Perks- At the end of each round four random perks will appear and players all get to choose one. The last place picks first and so on.

  • Hard to distinguish who is who as its the character name showing not player name.
  • Hyper Jam is light on content.

  • Left wanting more.
  • Really small levels.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
