Pandaren Grip Protector Case For New 3DS XL is a affordable solution for gamers with either big hands, Find the 3DS XL painful to use for long periods or just want to protect your 3DS XL. Here we take a look at how well it performs.

Pros:

• Cheap retailing under £20. In fact its only £14.99 at Amazon.
• High quality soft silicone cover case
• Easy to fit due to the materials elastic property.
• Comes in two parts.
• Protects the screen when the 3DS is closed.
• Has holes cut out for: Speakers, Stylus, Charger, Infra red, Volume, 3D slider, Headphones and Camera front and back.
• The Bumper buttons, L, ZL, R and ZR are raised making using them easier.
• Power button and Home button is raised for ease of use.
• Protects the cartridge slot when it is empty as the case covers it. Sounds bad but because the case is like elastic you can easily pull it down to add/remove a game cartridge.
• The grips are comfortable even for big handed gamers.
• The bumpers have a nice curved back to them so the console sits nicely in your hands.
• Sits evenly on a table top side.
• The grips are squishy along with additional squishy corners up top means you can drop the 3DS and know you have additional cover. Of course I wouldn’t recommend trying it but I have dropped mine a few times and all is good.
• 3DS still closes tight and doesnt add a gap when shut.
• Easy to take off the case.
• Does not cover or obstruct the hinge of the 3DS XL.
• The case is dark enough to hide the decals of your 3DS XL if you so wish. Dab handy if you bought a nasty looking 3DS just to get it a bit cheaper.
• Does a good job of keeping dust away.

Cons:

• It does add a fair bit of extra weight.
• It makes the 3DS XL bulky and hard to carry.
• The gamer slot being covered will annoy gamers who change cartridges a lot.
• The bumper buttons can sometimes miss the actual button. Meaning it wont recognize your button presses thus making you an angry gamer.
• Initial fitting is awkward due to the material and how it sits on.
• Comes in two parts. Wont be to everyone’s taste.
