Review: Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 (PlayStation 4)
Play as an American sniper dropped in Georgia, near Russian border. Choose your own path to accomplish your missions.
Pros:
- Decent graphics for the most part.
- 49.5GB Download size.
- Platinum trophy.
- PlayStation 4 Pro support.
- Three difficulties- Normal, Hard and challenge mode.
- Can invert sticks.
- Opening tutorial level.
- Uses DS4 speaker for radio chatter.
- Open world sniper game.
- Scout mode- Activate so you can see ledges/support etc.
- Can skip cutscenes.
- You have a safe house- Here is you hub where you can select missions/crafting/sleeping.
- Night/Day mechanic. You can sleep to change the time of day.
- Best distance kill pop up.
- Fast travel, Sign posts can be used as well as the safe house.
- 26 missions with around 16 optional side missions.
- Full stats screen.
- Weapons cache-Here you can modify/upgrade and buy weapon parts. In depth gun customisation.
- Workbench-Craft gadgets/ammo and equipment.
- Laptop-Choose missions/check stats/bios.
- Loot bodies for resources.
- Different bullet types like explosive or armour piercing.
- Sniper come FPS shooter gameplay.
- In depth sniper control. You can tweak all the knobs and buttons for distance etc.
- Earn EXP, Level up and unlock new skills.
- Three skill trees that unlock particular abilities.
- Drone for marking enemies.
- Shots affected by elevation and wind.
- Kill cam slow mo can trigger, They are basically the same as what you get in the Sniper Elite series.
- You can attack any mission how ever you like, Thanks to the open world you can set up your shot how you like which rally makes a difference.
- Vehicles-You can drive vehicles around the map.
- The world is populated so you can go out and kill enemies and take over bases without selecting a main mission.
- Hidden collectibles.
Cons:
- Really really long loading screens.
- Frame drops.
- Screen tearing.
- Some wooden animations.
- The interaction between characters are not great and dont have any real emotion.
- Colours looked a bit washed out.
- Very generic obvious story line.
