Review: Tied Together (Nintendo Switch)

One fine day a bunch of scientists created four tiny monsters. But for what? To test their cooperation skills of course! So they tied them together to a tiny monstrous chain and let them make their way through colourfull, tricky, cooperative experimental set-ups that only scientists can think up.

Pros:

  • Cartoon graphics.
  • 609MB Download size.
  • Tutorial pop-ups.
  • Co-op puzzler gameplay.
  • Two player has 40 levels.
  • Party mode is 3-4 players and has 25 levels.
  • Instant restarts.
  • Can pick and play any level.
  • Simple controls.
  • Terrific fun.
  • Can replay levels.
  • Four characters.
  • Can revive dead players.
  • All levels are timed and award Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
  • Many mechanics like wind, Buttons, Momentum, and physics.
  • Players can get killed/knocked out and any alive players can carry on but with dead weight.

Cons:

  • No way to pick a character instead it is assigned to you.
  • No solo play at all.
  • Lacks colorblind options.
  • No online co-op.
  • Feels short.
  • No leaderboards.
  • Medals feel redundant and unimportant.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
