Review: The Town of Light (PlayStation 4)
Based on extensive research and inspired by real events, The Town of Light is a first-person psychological story adventure game set in the Volterra Psychiatric Asylum, based in Tuscany, Italy.
Pros:
- Really nice graphics, Very picturesque backdrops.

- Can invert sticks.
- Platinum trophy.
- Based off true events.
- Chapter select option. Unlocks as you progress.
- Very atmospheric experience.
- Handles mental illness and does a really good job of portraying it.
- Puzzle mechanics are scattered through the world.
- You get and can get clues on what you need to do.
- Free to roam around and take it at your own pace.
- Simple controls.
- Find collectibles and items that can explain and expand on the goings on and maybe even about your story.
- Chilling soundtrack.
- Cut scenes a plenty but presented as hand drawn sketching that really hit the mark.
- Really powerful story that is as gripping as it is dark and haunting.
Cons:
- Loading times.
- Slow paced.
- Very claustrophobic feeling thanks to the cramped rooms and hallways.
- The game can be a bit slow telling you what you can and cannot do.
- Little replay value.
- Short game.
