Summary
Rift Keeper is a good action platformer with a heavy emphasis on combat and the roguelike elements. When you die you lose everything except the skill points. Gold drops from enemies and can be found in loot chests, incidentally, you earn a loot chest by finishing a level and can earn a bonus one by finishing a level before the timer runs out. It plays like a Dead Cells clone complete with the lighting and fast pace. It has a lot of niggles like no jump attack or the fact it takes so long to get going. I liked the idea but for me, it didn’t fully commit and for that the game is just OK and lacks any real desire to push yourself, the story is a simple one and the locations are cool but I dunno it just never really connects. Overall its a game you would give a good solid few hours too then never come back.
