Rule No 1 Review (PlayStation 5)



For our Rule No 1 Review we attempt to massacre waves of sentient metallic geometry as you attempt to survive the first-person gunslinging challenges of Rule No. 1! In this arena-based FPS with a dash of rogue-lite randomness, your one job is to blast everything in sight while dodging incoming threats. Clear waves of metal menaces and their pixelated minions to keep your spicy female player character from biting the dust!

Rule No 1 Review Pros:

  • Decent pixel art graphics.
  • 422.6MB download size.
  • Platinum trophy.
  • You get the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 versions of the game.)
  • Controller settings – Invert the axis and sensitivity sliders, and enable the auto-reload option.
  • Five game modes – comp, arcade, bouncy Bois only, basketball, and God stilettos.
  • First-person wave-based shooter.
  • You are on a small platform and can move around to avoid and shoot the enemies as they come at you.
  • Earn points and unlock gallery entries.
  • Guns drop as you play.
  • Brief game mode description on the main menu.
  • Basketball is just a mess around mini-game but it’s definitely a good laugh.
  • The bizarre atmosphere from the enemies to the music and characters.

Rule No 1 Review Cons:

  • Cannot rebind controls.
  • No seperate tutorial section.
  • The menus are fine but it’s hard to know what you have selected.
  • No story mode.
  • You don’t actually get told the controls or rules.
