Summary

Sofiya is a platformer that could have been something special but played it so safe that it missed the boat of fun. Going for a platformer with magic you would think it would be fun but unfortunately, it’s dogged with issues from stale level design and inconsistent combat. The smallest ledge can stop a magic spell that looks like it would clean sail over but no. The enemies are very wooden and almost mechanical in their patterns and actions. You play this for the easy trophies/achievements, it’s a shame but I have to pass on Sofiya and part ways.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
