- Adventure gameplay.
- In-game cutscenes.
- The full 3D world with 360-degree camera control.
- Multiple choice questions.
- You play as a delivery driver slash Adventurer and need to collect cargo/goods and deliver them.
- Optional side quests for Rewards.
- You play the game as a 3rd person balloon flying pilot or 3rd person action adventure.
- Weapons – crossbow sword and shield and heavy attacks.
- Altars are where you can heal/save, craft known recipes, and upgrade your gear.
- Enemy health bars show above their heads.
- You can dodge attacks.
- Using the crossbow puts it into a close-up view with a reticule.
- Your balloon needs to be refueled and can be upgraded.
- Tutorial pop-ups and interactions with characters.
- Fuel can be found in the sky and collected.
- Simple hack amd slash combat.
- The flying is very easy to learn.
- You unlock guns to shoot down turrets and enemies.
- Big boss encounters.
- Loot chests can be found.
- Fuel and enemies respawn so you can farm.
- Puzzle elements throughout.
- An OK story about getting lost through a portal and trying to get home.
- You have to repair your equipment otherwise you do less damage.
- Altars are very common.
- A handy bird to show where to go.
Soulkeeper Diaries Review Cons:
- Cannot rebind controls. (it says in the menu that it’s coming)
- The camera goes crazy a lot of the time.
- The level design is very much a straight path with no deviation.
- A lot of the story is huge info dumps.
- The combat is very mashy.
- Enemies respawn way too quickly.
- The menus are very sensitive to the controller or they go with a cursor-only system.
- You don’t get a lot of opportunities to do what you want.
- The gun combat is not great.
- Aiming with the crossbow is not tight or even that precise.
- The Respawning is bad with you having to play large chunks of the game again.
