Super Rolling Heroes Deluxe Review (Xbox Series S)

Super Rolling Heroes Deluxe Review, Destroy, bounce, explode! Roll downhill with Super Rolling Heroes Deluxe, a 3D platformer all about maintaining momentum, pulling down every object, avoiding deadly obstacles, and collecting some nice shiny gems too.

Super Rolling Heroes Deluxe Review Pros:

  • Big bright graphics.
  • 1.7GB download size.
  • 1000 Gamerscore.
  • Rolling down a hill and avoiding obstacles gameplay.
  • Opening and ongoing tutorial support.
  • Enable the hard mode option in the pause menu.
  • Fast restart button.
  • You play as a squidgy blob and can jump, brake, and backflip.
  • Supports play with either the d-pad or the stick.
  • You have a bit of limit, hits, or only against structures and obstacles but not things like trees.
  • The goal is to avoid obstacles and hit the gem at the bottom of the hill.
  • World map level select.
  • End-of-level breakdown of performance.
  • You can replay levels.
  • Cool-looking levels.
  • Earn gems from completing levels and collecting the bonus ones in levels.
  • Spend gems on bags to open and get customisation items.
  • Customize your character by buying the bags from the shop with gems.

Super Rolling Heroes Deluxe Review Cons:

  • Takes a while to get used to the controls as they are quite sluggish.
  • Feels like a game that would work better with motion controls.
  • I somehow got hard mode turned on multiple times during sessions.
  • No camera control and you can fall off the level easily so not being able to see everything is frustrating.
  • Restarts are just not fast enough.
  • The menu movement is slow and clunky.
  • The gameplay is not as engaging and is very niche.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
