Tethered launching on Oculus & HTC Vive on Monday 27th Feb Along With PS4 Pro News

Secret Sorcery’s critically acclaimed VR strategy game, Tethered, arrives on Oculus and Steam stores on Monday 27th February. Inspired by the kooky creations of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli, Tethered debuted on PlayStation VR in October 2016, bringing innovative and engaging gameplay to the embryonic platform.

The Windows PC release delivers an even more gorgeous aesthetic and adds a suite of experience-enhancing motion controller interactions including island traversal, scale control, and “tethering” – one of the title’s core mechanics.

A PS4 patch will arrive shortly afterwards, significantly improving PS4 Pro graphical presentation and providing PS Move support for players wanting to get hands-on with the Peeps.

Scott Kirkland – Managing Director at Secret Sorcery – commented: “Following overwhelmingly positive feedback from pre-launch events such as EGX Rezzed, a successful launch on PlayStation VR last year and countless tales of players losing track of time whilst immersed in our godly creation, we can’t wait to hear what the PC VR gaming community thinks about Tethered.”

“To encourage folks to take the plunge (and minimize Peep casualties), PC versions of Tethered will be available for just £18.99 / €22.99 / $24.99. With 13 beautiful levels, a competitive leaderboard (to contrast your godly prowess with that of your friends) and a superb G.A.N.G. award nominated interactive score, Tethered is manna from heaven!”

Tethered is a strategy game in which you play the role of a “Spirit Guardian”. Your world has been consumed by a nocturnal evil, responsible for the imprisonment of all Spirit Guardians but you. You must traverse your beautiful floating sky-islands commanding the inhabitants, the Peeps, to collect Spirit Energy and free the entombed Spirit Guardians. Only then will balance and light be restored.
