Summary

The House Of The Dead is a game close to my heart, I played it for way too long in the arcades and even enjoyed the rather bad port of it on the Sega Saturn. Herewith the remake, it’s very much a great game made accessible to more players, using the controller for shooting is less than ideal and makes the Switch version more appealing but I still went through the game a handful of times. Returning players can not o ly relive this classic, but also try out the horde mode which is the same game but with more zombies on screen making it far superior to the classic version. The House Of The Dead is a hard-hitter as it might only have a handful of levels but it has so many secret routes and little Easter eggs mixed in that you can play it tons and still see new things, that haven’t changed here. Port wise its business as usual and tidy. I now expect to see the rest of the series remade and Forever Entertainment has proved they are more than capable.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
