Toonstruck – 90s FMV-meets-adventure with Christopher Lloyd, Ben Stein and more… now on

I must have missed this game in 1996. At the height of point-and-click popularity and at a time when digitized versions of real-life actors could be found performing in all sorts of games — and I suppose, a few years after Roger Rabbit — Toonstruck was released by Burst and Interplay. The game is now available, DRM-free, at for $9.99.

Hell, the user reviews on are really positive. The game stars a lot of great talent, including Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future, Taxi) and Ben Stein and features the vocal talents of Dan Castellaneta (TV’s Homer Simpson), Dom DeLuise (All Dogs Go To Heaven I & II), and the inimitable Tim Curry (Gabriel Knight, Rocky Horror Picture Show).

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
