  • Long load times especially the first initial load.
  • Black screen transitions between cutscenes and gameplay.
  • An Ai system that can swear feels wrong somehow.

  • Full system lockups or crash outs.
  • Changing graphics whilst in-game reboots the game without warning.
  • Random crashes and ragdolling by the Ai.
  • Performance is really patchy.

Watch Dogs Legion is a bold new step for the series as they add even more mechanics and tweaks to an already impressive stable of mechanics. London is your playground in a high tec world where you can hack drones, fly on a parcel drone, hack cars and phones but also recruit and play as any person in the whole game! Each player will be different with random perks, random buffs and it makes the game unique to each player. I loved how the system works as you will initially approach them to join your Deadsec crew then you will do tasks to convince them and then you can be them. It’s such an ambitious idea but it works it really does, I could get into areas quicker if I picked the right character or I could get away from the police easier if I pick the right guy. That aside the gameplay is vast, so vast that it can exhaust you, there is almost too much to do with painting billboards, hacking holograms, collecting and delivering parcels and so much more. I can take all that though as the world is so rich and full of life, I like how every restricted area is its own little thing where you can go full action or take it on as a stealth ninja which is properly satisfying. Now let’s break it right down in a simple way-Watch Dogs Legion is a Ubisoft collaboration of all things Ubisoft, it has a bit of every game in there and makes it a cohesive and fun experience. They have clearly learned, adapted, and evolved the series that it is now at its peak. I can’t see how they could go any better but what do I know. For me Watch Dogs Legion is the best Watch Dogs/Ubisoft’s greatest hits, yes you can get fatigued with all the activities but it’s such a fun world that who cares, you will always have something to do! Without question, this is the most realised Watch Dogs game to date.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
