- Choose your first Deadsec team member, you have 15 to choose from and each has one unique thing about them.
- Auto drive-press it and the car/vehicle will drive to the destination.
- Car-you can change music playing.
- Open world.
- Play how you want.
- Can steal any car and drive it.
- Customize your reticle, reticle color, hack notifications and color, Hud, mini-map etc.
- Hidden Collectibles and voice files for more story and lore.
- Tech points-found in the world and used to buy gadgets/weapons and hacks.
- Recruitment-you can attempt to recruit anyone you see which makes them selectable from the member screens. Each member will have Pros and cons and you can scan them before recruiting.
- Ubisoft Connect app works really well with the controller now.
- Cover based system for stealth and shooting.
- Enemies drop ammo and you can pick it up automatically just by walking over.
- As you gain more recruits you can change between them on the map.
- The map uncovers as you play and explore.
- Restricted areas-possible to stealth the whole thing but it acts as a self-contained game in itself.
- Can hack cars as you drive so they move out the way or stop.
- Day/night cycle and full weather effects.
- Living breathing world where you can people watch and break up disputes.
- The auto drive will stop for red lights and give way.
- Set a waypoint and a cool hi tech looking guideline will show up in-game to follow.
- A look at the future with animated billboards on cars, hologram statues.
- Defiance-every borough has a defiance meter and as you do jobs and hack your way to success that bar goes down, once empty the Borough becomes defiant and is technically more willing to join you, it adds tech point icons and higher-skilled recruits.
- Fast travel points.
- Can swap between team members and get an interaction between them as they hand over the reins or Bagley says some quip.
- A lot of clever writing.
- Parcel fox courier-fun little optional tasks where you collect a parcel and have to deliver it for rewards. The package can have any of the 3 properties-timed, fragile, or contraband.
- Cars remember your last played radio station.
- Police chases-you fill a meter that determines how strong the police are. Break line of sight and the bar decreases then vanishes.
- Paste ups- another optional activity where you put up new posters around town and earn rewards for doing so.

Cons:
- No benchmark setting.
- Online not out until December. Well documented but worth saying again.
- Long load times especially the first initial load.
- Black screen transitions between cutscenes and gameplay.
- An Ai system that can swear feels wrong somehow.
- Not a lot of rewards on the Ubisoft Connect app.
- Few robots looking animations.
- Full system lockups or crash outs.
- Changing graphics whilst in-game reboots the game without warning.
- Random crashes and ragdolling by the Ai.
- Performance is really patchy.
