We Are The Caretakers Preview Cons:

  • Minimal graphic settings.
  • Menus still need work with a controller.
  • No way to set up or tweak the controller.
  • Cannot rebind controls for any device.
  • Really not that good at introducing new players.
  • HQ is messy and the team management system is a nightmare to untangle.
  • Small text.
  • The music whilst excellent, doesn’t fit the mood of the game.
  • No voicework.
  • Combat and in particular the auto-combat can go on for a long time.
  • The menu structure is just clunky.
  • It never feels like you know anything and is the last to hear about anything.
  • Performance hitches especially when entering combat or leaving it.
  • Never seems to save the speed setting.
  • No real story or outline as to what in the hell is going on half the time.
  • Areas are big but kind of empty.
  • Hard to gauge the time.
  • Team/Squad management in an area is still painful, especially with the controller.
  • No difficulty settings so it’s very up and down.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
