- Improved loading times for all the modes.
- The Island is a free-roaming place where you can see other real-world players running around, interact with wrestlers, and others.

- Think of Myfaction as the WWE version of Ultimate Team in FIFA or Madden. You assemble a team of male and female wrestlers, take on challenges, hire managers, and win championships, all whilst earning credits for cards and packs.

- Faction Wars in MyFaction is a run-based game mode where you play matches and earn rewards.
- The crowds look better for the most part, with the up-front ones being well animated, and the ones up high look OK.
- There is more talking and voice work in the Myrise mode, including your character talking, so it feels a bit more engaging now.
- The Island is an ambitious social space with its own set of gameplay and matches. It nails it for the most part, but man, it loves asking for money constantly.
- Take part in quests and missions within the Island that have rewards, unique rewards, and can give out some of the VC coins.
- Earn experience for your character in The Island by playing, but also by completing the many challenges and quests.
- You can see other players on The Island WITHOUT a Playstation Plus subscription.
- The Island lets you create four characters.
- Timed events and rewards can appear on The Island.
- I give 2K props for trying to build the game out and add in more ways to play and socialise. The Island seems to have a solid blueprint, but it definitely has too much real money stuff in there.
WWE 2K25 Bloodline Edition Review Cons:
- The acting in set pieces can be borderline cheesy.
- Cannot remap controls.
- A lot of unskippable sequences from cutscenes to interactions.
- The Bump show has awkward, long pauses.
- Your character in MyRise is so dull and lifeless in his line delivery and charisma, as he has no charisma whatsoever.
- For all the good we do, it still struggles to just say, here are the game settings, here are the graphics, etc.
- Whenever you are in game mode, everything outside of the fighting feels flat and lifeless.
- They try to make a seamless transition between film and game, but to a very noticeable hard cut.
- It can be hard to know how to do certain moves at a given time.
- Some of the animations look bad, and the hair is still not right. After all these years, the hair is still bad.
- Man, some of the character models look dubious at best.
- So many video cutscenes cannot be skipped.
- Reversals are still a game in themselves and a real pain for me.
- Set pieces can break up the immersion and cause setups that are not realistic.
- The Island has a disgusting model where, when creating your character, you can use VC coins (real money currency) to upgrade your character.
- Faces and names are blurred out in some of the classic tapes, it happens, but man, it looks weird.
- The performance centre is a long process, which would be better if it weren’t for the really small writing in the corner telling you the controls.
- I am not a fan of the chaining mechanic where you lock up and then move the sticks to fill your bar before your opponent to then do a move.
- Interactions within the Island are just text-based.
- The Stormzy and Chase and Status Backbone song is censored, as is the Eminem one actually.
- Nearly everything you can buy on The Island is real money VC coins, which is gross.

Summary
WWE 2K25 Bloodline Edition is an ambitious step forward for the franchise, offering impressive visuals, deeper gameplay mechanics, and a wealth of modes that cater to all types of players. The graphics are sharp, and the animations, particularly facial expressions, bring a greater sense of realism. The inclusion of a Platinum trophy list and an independent trophy system for *The Island* mode adds extra incentive for completionists. Notably, players receive both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions, with the option to transfer saves across generations. The officially licensed experience ensures authenticity, with real video footage seamlessly integrated into tutorials and story sequences. The Performance Center tutorial offers valuable lessons with rewards, and The Island mode delivers a standalone experience with real-world interactions and structured matches.
Customization plays a big role, allowing players to fine-tune everything from AI difficulty sliders to match rules, game modes, and even music playlists. The game boasts an extensive roster with strong editing options, letting players shape their WWE universe as they see fit. *MyGM* mode deepens the strategy, offering control over brand management, drafting, and Hall of Fame ambitions. The improved Showcase mode immerses players in legendary WrestleMania moments with original arenas, animations, and UI from classic matches, complete with set objectives that add replayability. Meanwhile, *MyRise* offers a flexible career path, featuring upgradeable stats, voice-acted characters, branching choices, and engaging social media-driven storytelling.
However, not everything is a slam dunk. While the gameplay mechanics have improved, some lingering issues remain, such as unpredictable AI behavior and frustrating reversal mechanics. The seamless transition between real video footage and gameplay often results in noticeable hard cuts, breaking immersion. The Island mode, despite its social appeal, is heavily monetized, frequently prompting players to spend VC coins—real money currency—on upgrades and cosmetic items. The game’s unskippable cutscenes can become tiresome, and lifeless character delivery in MyRise weakens its narrative depth. The animations, while largely improved, still suffer from questionable hair physics and inconsistent character models. Despite attempts to refine The Bump show and set pieces, some moments feel cheesy or lack engagement. Additionally, the Performance Center tutorial process can be tedious, partly due to small control instructions buried in the corner.
In the end, WWE 2K25 Bloodline Edition delivers an expansive wrestling experience that captures the high-energy spirit of the franchise. With refined mechanics, deep customization, and a variety of engaging modes, the game has plenty to offer for both casual and hardcore fans alike. Despite its flaws, it remains a compelling showcase of WWE action, ensuring plenty of thrills both inside and outside the ring.
Step into the squared circle, control your destiny, and show the world why you belong in the spotlight!
