Night Slashers Remake Review Pros:

Decent graphics.
1.46GB Download size.
Steam achievements.
Full controller support.
Video settings – resolution, fullscreen, v-sync, bloom, color (default/mono/saturated), effects (CRT effects), and gamma slider.
Soundtrack choice – Remake or original.
You can remap the controls.
Simple controls – move, attack, jump, and super attack amd guard.
The music room lets you listen to any track from the original and the remake albums.
How To Play is a video showing off the combat moves.
2.5D fighting gameplay.
You can grab and attack enemies or throw them into other enemies.
I like how you can smash enemies into the floor and then attack their heads.
The custom game has 8 mutators – no items, exploding corpses, faster enemies, no special attacks, no charged attacks, trapped double damage, strong enemies, and lives.
Five game difficulties – very easy, easy, medium, hard, and nightmare.
Each game difficulty has its own progress. seven main stages then two additional bonus stages.
Four playable characters.
You can play 2 to 4 local multiplayer.
Unlock color variants for each character.
Still art cutscenes.
You can skip the cutscenes.
Plenty of boss fights. the fighting is very fast, responsive, and deep.
Pick up food for health.
Health bar system.
Pick up weapons that you throw at enemies.
You see the boss’s health bar.
Great looking locations.
The ending is the original screens from the original game.
Good soundtrack.
A lot of replay value.
Playing on different difficulties does mix the game up quite a bit.
Your special attack takes health just like it does in Final Fight.

Night Slashers Remake Review Cons:

Hit detection can be a bit off.
On the easier difficulties, it’s such a cakewalk that it takes like half an hour to finish and enemies mostly just stand still.
You cannot jump between graphics styles.
No online leaderboards.
You can only play multiplayer locally.
Shame the tutorial isn’t playable.
No practice area.
Only the one-game mode as custom is just messing with mechanics.
