SYNDUALITY echo of Ada Preview (PlayStation 5)

SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada Preview, SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada takes place in 2222, years after a mysterious poisonous rain called The Tears of the New Moon wiped out most of humanity and birthed deformed creatures that now hunt the population. Amidst the calamity, humans are forced to build an underground haven to survive. Take on the role of a Drifter whose goal is to collect the rare resource known as AO Crystals. In your quest, you must collaborate with your artificial intelligence partner to face xenomorphic creatures known as Enders and survive the hazards on the surface.

SYNDUALITY echo of Ada Preview Pros:

  • Japanese voice choice.
  • 51.28GB download size.
  • Graphics – performance or quality.
  • Cool VHS filter opening cutscenes with over-the-top pop-up text.
  • Invert axis and sensitivity sliders including one for movement.
  • Opening tutorial section.
  • Overheating and power consumption are a huge deal, they deplete and increase from boosters and weapon use.
  • Harvest and collect AO crystals.
  • Enemies can drop packs to repair damage (your health) you can also set them to a quick select.
  • You play as a cradle coffin.
  • Rain takes your durability down and eventually injures you.
  • A full 3D game world with 360-degree camera control.
  • You can escape your mech before it blows up to avoid losing cargo etc.
  • Four characters to choose from and five systems – weather gazer(displays rain clouds and better rain protection), cradle support (can scan other cradles and repair faster), anti enders (more multi attacks and shows health bars), anti cradle (shows health bars and gives a restrain skill), and defensive (deploy walls and take less grenade damage).
  • Full character creator.
  • Does cool commercials like videos for many parts of the game, controls, etc It’s like the Fallout shows they do.
  • A central hub for requests, shopping, wardrobe, collecting resources, etc.
  • Set up your loadout before going out on a mission, you can set consumables to auto replenish so they fill when returning from a mission.
  • If you lose items in a mission and have insurance, you will get their worth in money back.
  • Play how you want when out on a mission.
  • You collect materials and resources so you can upgrade and repair your base which in turn unlocks new facilities.
  • Unlick the ability to craft parts, weapons, materials, etc.
  • Easily add needed materials to a wish list and when searching the world you get told an icon showing the missing materials.
  • Ao crystals earn you cash and you can scan the immediate area for Ao crystals.
  • After a mission, you get a breakdown of your performance and a top-down replay of how and where your mission played out it has great detail and info displayed.
  • I love just exploring the world and grabbing loot chests and materials and resources.
  • See other real players and interact.
  • You hand in missions and job requests for more rewards and unlocks.
  • A shop is in your hub so you can buy and sell items and gear.
  • Use materials and cash to repair your cradle mech.
  • Everything crafted is real time and you can pay to speed it up.
  • All gear and items have rarity levels.
  • Fantastic cutscenes during and after a mission.
  • Satisfying numbers and UI to show what you have done.
  • Your base remodel shows as an isometric map and then you can zoom into each part.
  • Missions and jobs will show the criteria for clearing it along with the reward.
  • You can skip and fast-forward interactions and cutscenes.
  • Two zones are shown: the North and South zones.
  • Your safe pocket is small but it lets you keep some items on a bail-out.
  • The game has something but I’m still trying to pinpoint it.
  • You always have access to free starter parts so you can always get back in.
  • The battery of your cradle mech is 20 minutes so you need to haul ass.
  • Satisfying loot list.
  • Find elevators in order to escape and return to your hub, it takes time for an elevator to appear after calling it.
  • It’s really cool that your partner gives helpful advice and pings the map for you.
  • Weight is a big deal for every bit of loot has a weight attacked and you see your bar at all times, as you get heavier, the movement gets slower.
  • It’s a game where you feel like you make progress even when you fail.
  • You can just go out and stock up on materials and resources before tackling harder missions.
  • Surprisingly easy to get around the menus and equip and swap out gear.
  • It’s a huge interesting world full of memorable locations and secrets to find.
  • One of those games where you can scam huge mountains if you know how to manipulate the rocks.
  • Honestly, the early game was stressful but I started playing it like a roguelike, taking on small creatures and avoiding everything else, I would just make an adventure out of getting to the next elevator.
  • On the last day, we got so much money we could try out the many cradle options and a new third area.
  • Equipping new cradle parts makes your machine behave and move differently, I managed to make jumping and surviving a lot better.
  • There is different agencies that give you different missions and unique rewards.
  • A world I want to know more about and a game I want to play more of.

SYNDUALITY echo of Ada Preview Cons:

  • So many words and acronyms to keep track of.
  • A lot to take in.
  • Some of the pop-ups assume you already know everything they mention.
  • Slowdown in places.
  • When first entering the world for a mission it can be daunting every time to get started.
  • It takes a while to get used to where to go, what is expected, and what to look out for.
  • Any lag makes combat a mess.
  • It was quite an empty world from players to enemies and points of interest.
  • The rain seems really random and always when you don’t want it.
  • It seems to always be random where you land in the world.
  • Early game is a real nightmare as Bandits can easily take you out, everything can just do you easily.
  • It definitely feels like as soon as you get a good run of cargo and Ai crystals you suddenly get a load of damage energies after you and you lose it all.
  • The menus need to be streamlined more, it’s not as quick and straightforward as you would need it to be.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
