Triple Take Review (Steam)
Our Triple Take Review has us playing this fast 2D precision platformer where the stage evolves as you complete it! Run, wall jump, climb and swim through increasingly difficulty levels in vibrant colored worlds!
Triple Take Review Pros:
- Decent black and white pixel art graphics.
- 1.17GB Download size.
- Steam achievements.
- Full controller support.
- Fast-paced platformer gameplay.
- Gimmick is you play the same level 3 times and each run takes away blocks mixing the level up.
- Collectible scroll on each level.
- Tutorial signs as you play.
- Simple one-button controls.
- Cool little thing it does where it goes out of the game to tell the story by minimizing the game and opening pop-ups. (all safe) in fact, you have to navigate and move folders around your pc directory.
- Instant respawn.
- After finishing a level you get told completion time and lives lost and any story interactions in a rain-soaked platform.
- Level select room.
- Can replay levels.
- The cute art style and character design.
- Solid-level design.
- Heavily reliant on reflexes.
- The jump is a case of the longer you hold it down the higher you go and vice versa.
- The color palette changes as you progress.
- Big boss fights.
- Starts to implement other genres like shmups.
- It has an atmosphere like you are not really safe, it has you digging around your pc, it says your name without asking, and things like saying your exact file location strings.
Triple Take Review Cons:
- No actual graphics settings.
- All you can do settings-wise is change the volume and set the game to fullscreen or not.
- Screen tearing happens a lot.
- You can’t interact with tutorial signs using the stick and have to use the D-pad.
- The prompts only mention keyboard controls.
- Cannot rebind controls.
- All the out-of-game sections require a mouse to get past.
- Doesn’t have any accessibility options.
- Only a dozen or so achievements.
- No leaderboards.
- Need to use the ESC key to actually turn the game off.
- Really is a game that requires all I put methods.
